You give me the respect I need or I take it by force _ Wiyaala on Saminifest flyer controversy

Wiyaala, an afropop singer and songwriter, has stressed her dedication to upholding the authenticity of her female artistry brand.

Wiyaala expressed concern about her inclusion on a Saminifest flyer in December of last year. The show, coordinated by Samini, was set to happen on January 1, 2024, at the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel (Jirapa, Dubai).

Wiyaala was at the bottom of the flyer, behind artists like Kuami Eugene and Fancy Gadam, while Samini was at the top, where she was prominently displayed.

Soon after the flyer was shared on Facebook, Wiyaala demanded that her arrangement be changed or she would pull out from the show.

During her conversation with AJ Sarpong on 3FM Lounge, the vocalist of "Africa" communicated her disappointment with her arrangement on the special flyer.

She emphasized that it was wrong for her to be positioned in this way because it gave the impression that she was a lesser-known or emerging artist, which was false.

This error provoked her to demand a change to the flyer.

"I understand what I can do and in the event that anyone professes not to give me my blossoms, I will take it forcibly now. That will not be tolerated by me. You need something and we settled on something, place me in the place that I genuinely merit.

I won't be dealt with like some [upcoming artiste]. "Assuming you place me behind like that, we as a whole understand what it implies.

I'm not some rising star. I will be behind Samini quickly yet for my two siblings, they need to allow me to present them,' she said on Friday, March 22.
