We haven’t been informed of any name change – Ho Technical University management


The administration of Ho Technical University (HTU) has denied being aware of any efforts to change the university's name to Dr. Ephraim Amu Technical University.


The university's leadership stated in a press release on Tuesday, April 23, that they had neither received official notice of the alleged name change nor participated in any engagement regarding it. A release that was signed by the Registrar of HTU, Dr., stated, "The Vice-Chancellor has neither been invited to nor participated in any meeting or event regarding the renaming of the University."


According to Christopher Amehoe, He affirmed receipt of the letter dated April 20, 2024, addressed to the Bad habit Chancellor and endorsed by the Secretary to the Asogli, communicating worries about the indicated difference in name of the College. Following a press conference, a delegation of chiefs and Asogli residents led by the Warlord of the Asogli State, Togbe Adze Lakle Howusu XII, delivered the letter.


"The board has started moves toward draw in with the Asogli Customary Chamber to address any worry in regards to this matter in light of a legitimate concern for guaranteeing the harmony and progress of Ho Specialized College, the Volta Locale's head tertiary organization", finished up Mr. Amehoe.
