“I was at home and saw that a new board had been constituted” – Prof. Adei recounts how he lost GRA Board Chair role


Former Chairperson of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Professor Emeritus Stephen Adei, has uncovered the conditions encompassing his expulsion as the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) board executive.


In a new meeting with GHOne television, Prof. Adei guaranteed that he was constrained out of his job in 2023. He expressed that the Akufo-Addo-drove government comprised another GRA board without illuminating him, really finishing his residency without his insight. "I was never told of my exit [as GRA board chair]. I was at home and saw that another board had been comprised.


"It is the most discourteous approach to expressing farewell to any board, yet this is Ghana," he is cited to have said by GHOne television in a post shared via virtual entertainment on April 9, 2024. The previous NDPC director, likewise a previous minister of the Ghana Foundation of The executives and Policy management (GIMPA), expected the job of GRA's board administrator in September 2019.


In a 2023 meeting, he featured how his stewardship added to the GRA accomplishing its income targets, highlighting the way that he served in the limit deliberately. "As board executive of GRA, I never took a dime, however I turned out perseveringly for GRA to meet its income targets. "With this, many viewed me as being in government when I was not in government but rather just working to bring about some benefit for the country," he expressed.


He added, "Even as the executive of the Public Improvement Arranging Commission (NDPC), I arranged a report named [email protected] and needed the up front investment of the public authority. Until this point in time, the public authority isn't meeting me."
