I reshuffled for Ghana’s sake and not for personal benefits – Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has tended to the reasoning behind his new ministerial reshuffle, a takeoff from his standard act of holding ministers for expanded periods, answering strain from ideological groups, common society gatherings, and inside his own party.

On Wednesday, February 14, the reshuffle, which will affect approximately 12 current ministers, including 10 cabinet members and two regional ministers, was made public. Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta was remarkably taken out subsequent to enduring past calls for excusal.

Criticism from the opposition National Democratic Congress and Minority Individuals from Parliament considers the choice late and lacking motivation. The party's General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, expressed dissatisfaction, describing the reshuffle as preserving the status quo rather than bringing about the desired change for Ghanaians.

"This activity — or rather, inaction — highlights an unmitigated negligence for the country's request for administration that places individuals' government assistance above political convenience," he said. President Nana Akufo-Addo, answering worries about the reshuffle, stressed that the choice was made considering the residents' general benefits as opposed to taking care of individual inclinations. He stated,

"It is for the people of Ghana, not for me," in an interview with JoyNews Foreign Affairs Correspondent Blessed Sogah in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He emphasized the significance of prioritizing the welfare of the people in governmental decisions. President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to keep faith in the country's democratic progress during the 37th Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly (Heads of State and Government) in Addis Ababa, especially as the country gets ready to elect a new leader later this year.

Underscoring the significance of maintaining popularity based standards, he approached residents to effectively take part in the constituent cycle and exercise their entitlement to dependably cast a ballot.
