Guns reportedly fired at Cape Coast North voters registration centre

Gunshots were purportedly heard at a voter registration centre in the Cape Coast North constituency of the Central Region.

As per Adom News' Kofi Adjei, the shots were discharged by people purportedly monitoring the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary up-and-comer, Horace Ekow Ewusi. The episode happened on Thursday morning and was supposedly pointed toward forestalling the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from enrolling a gathering of people transported in from Moree in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese supporters.

Pressures raised at the citizen enrollment focus as NPP individuals promised to keep NDC individuals from enlisting in the continuous restricted enlistment work out. This prompted a showdown among NPP and NDC individuals, coming full circle in the discharging of shots.

During the fight, the telephone of the NDC voting public Youth Coordinator, Godfred Onso Nyameye, was supposedly seized, further fueling what is happening. Following the occurrence, Mr. Ewusi was pursued from the enlistment community and constrained into his vehicle, which then, at that point, drove away.

At this point, no captures have been made.
