Ghana to face Nigeria in women’s final football competition of African Games 2023

Ghana and Nigeria will go head to head in the final of the ladies' football competition at the ongoing African Games following their triumphs on Monday.

Nigeria protected their spot in the last with a 2-0 win over Uganda prior in the day. The match was held at the Cape Coast Sports Arena and was supposed to be firmly challenged. Nonetheless, Nigeria overwhelmed the vast majority of the game, getting a significant triumph.

In another match, the Ghanaian group, the Dark Princesses, went head to head against Senegal. Ghana arose successful with a 3-1 win, getting their position in the last too. Tracey Twum scored her second objective of the competition, giving Ghana an early lead only 18 minutes into the game.

Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah multiplied the lead with a sharp completion on the stroke of halftime, making it 2-0. Senegal figured out how to score from a punishment right off the bat in the final part, limiting the hole. In any case, Ghana expanded their lead with Amponsah scoring her second objective of the match soon after.

Ghana's success sets up a last conflict with Nigeria, a group they crushed in the last of the WAFU B U-20 Young ladies Cup last year in Kumasi. The last match is planned for Thursday, Walk 21, at the Cape Coast Arena.
