Bride, brother-in-law, 5 bridesmaids, 6 others die in auto crash

A bride, her brother-in-law, and five bridesmaids, alongside six others, lost their lives in an accident when the vehicle conveying them let completely go because of over speeding and unjust surpassing, as revealed by Vanguard News.

Twenty people were involved in the accident, according to an eyewitness, with 13 fatalities and seven critically injured. The subsequent vehicle was a business Nissan transport leaving from Minna to Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

Tsukwan Kumar, the FRSC's Niger State Sector Commander, confirmed the incident, describing it as a collision between a commercial Nissan bus from Minna traveling to Ogbomoso and a Toyota Corolla carrying the deceased bride and others from Mokwa to Bida.

The injured included four female adults, one male adult, one male child, and one female child, while the deceased included eight female adults, four male adults, and one male child.

The Police Outpost in Wuya received five phones, an international passport, a NIN slip, three handbags, two travel boxes, goods, and other personal effects that were recovered from the accident scene.

The carcasses of the departed have been given over to their family members after appropriate ID.

The four leftover bodies, yet to be distinguished, were kept at the Overall Clinic, Kutigi, central command of Lavun Nearby Government Region, while the harmed are getting clinical therapy at the Bureaucratic Clinical Center, FMC, Bida.

Kumar said: " The accident included two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla passing the late lady of the hour and others from Mokwa on to Bida and a business Nissan transport from Minna making a beeline for Ogbomoso.

"The people who passed on incorporate eight female grown-ups, four male grown-ups, and one male youngster while four female grown-ups, one male grown-up, one male kid, and one female kid were harmed.

"The vehicles engaged with the mishap, had property which incorporate five telephones, one Global visa, one NIN slip, three purses, two voyaging boxes, products and other belongings having a place with the casualties were given over to the Police Station in Wuya."
