Ashanti Regional Minister threatens to embark on ‘dumsor’ demo

Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah has given a harsh admonition, taking steps to organize a demonstration in his region against the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) because of the continuous sporadic blackouts.

Mr. Osei Mensah communicated dissatisfaction over the absence of clarifications from both ECG and GRIDCo with respect to the reason for the blackouts. He underlined that he has not gotten any good clarification regardless of endeavors to draw in with the Ministry of Energy with regards to this issue.

Talking on Angel FM in Kumasi, the Regional Minister showed his preparation to lead the demonstration if essential, making him possibly the first minister in the country to challenge his own administration.
