Armed men vandalise Class Media Group’s Labone HQ

A group of four men used petrol bombs and stones to attack the headquarters of Class Media Group in Labone, Accra, in the early hours of Thursday, around 2 a.m.

Four men riding motorcycles were captured on surveillance cameras as the suspects. Before fleeing the scene, they threw the petrol bombs over the fence and into the media center, causing damage to the reception's glass wall and door. The intention behind the assault is muddled, however CMG has announced the occurrence to the police for investigation.

This occurrence adds to a progression of assaults on media houses and columnists as of late. Eminently, insightful columnist Ahmed Suale, who worked with Anas Aremeyaa Anas' Tiger Eye private investigator, was killed by obscure shooters. Different occurrences incorporate hooligans breaking into radio and Television slots to disturb live shows or attack moderators.

last year Mr. Iddrisu Hardi Pagazaa, a former deputy northern regional communications officer of the main opposition NDC, and someone else were accounted for to have burst into the studios of CMG's media house, Dagbon FM, in the Northern District, to assault and attack columnist Abubakar Saddique Gariba on World Press Freedom Day.

Additionally, Kwabena Bobie Ansah, host of Accra FM's "Citizen Show," was detained on February 10, 2022, by unidentified men claiming to be security personnel immediately following his political talk show on the night. The reason for his detention is still unknown.
