Another SHS student dies after he was refused exeat to go home

The parents of a 19-year-old last year understudy at Akim Swedru Senior High School have pointed fingers at the school board for the shocking demise of their child.

As per the lamenting guardians, their child, Keater Vadje, was denied an exception notwithstanding his solicitation for leave because of ailment.

They claimed that Keater had looked for consent to return home for clinical consideration, yet his supplication was dismissed, provoking him to call his dad for help.

Rainbow Radio's Ruler Collins Bening, detailing from the region, uncovered that Keater moved toward the housemaster, making sense of his ailment and mentioning an exam exemption.

However, the school administration turned down his request because they were unsure of the seriousness of his illness.

Keater contacted his father, who promptly arrived at the school, escorted his son home, and rushed him to the Akimdan Government Hospital after multiple attempts failed to secure an exeat. Tragically, the office couldn't give satisfactory treatment and encouraged the dad to look for help somewhere else.

Consequently, Keater was taken to the Akwatia St. Dominic Clinic, where he unfortunately died at night.

The melancholy stricken guardians solidly consider the school answerable for their child's less than ideal passing, contending that assuming he had been allowed leave, he could have made due.

As the family plans for the memorial service, they have booked the internment for February 16, 2024.
