Alidu Seidu and his mother travel to France to finalise transfer with Stade Rennais

The Black Stars' defender Alidu Seidu has traveled to France with his mother to complete his transfer to Stade Rennais FC.

After a progression of endeavors, the Red and Dark sides have effectively agreed to procure the Ghanaian safeguard during the ongoing exchange window.

Clermont Foot had at first dismissed three proposals from Rennais before the two players settled on an arrangement.

The Black Stars defender is expected to play a significant role for his new team after demonstrating his abilities with Clermont Foot, a rival club in the Ligue 1 league.

Seidu's exchange to Rennais is purportedly for an expense of 11 million Euros, alongside extra rewards.

The authority disclosing is supposed to occur after the finish of the 2023 Africa Cup of Countries in Ivory Coast.

Seidu was a member of the Black Stars team that had problems at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast. They lost in the group stage of the championship without winning.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian defender has been exceptional for Clermont Foot this season, making 14 appearances and providing one assist in spite of the team's performance.
