Afenyo-Markin expresses gratitude upon becoming Majority Leader

In a poignan discourse addressed to his colleagues in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin conveyed significant appreciation as he assumed the renowned job of Majority Leader, a position he once considered distant.

"I never imagined this day," commented Afenyo-Markin during the parliamentary meeting on Friday, February 23. Sharing individual tales, he described the preliminaries he confronted, especially in Winneba, where his political aspirations started. Afenyo-Markin uncovered that in 2004, he nearly deserted his parliamentary desires because of worries about his energy.

Notwithstanding, the tide changed in 2012 when he got triumph in the parliamentary elections, representing people of Effutu in Parliament. His steady assurance and obligation to public help impelled him past the hindrances that once appeared to be unrealistic. Looking forward, Afenyo-Markin vowed to encourage solidarity between the Minority and Majority in Parliament.

Tending to the Minority Chief, he affirmed his commitment to bipartisanship, accentuating the significance of participation for the prosperity and concordance of the house.
